    Abstract
    This research has succeeded in designing a metal detection device and its levels in water using a TDS (Total Dissolved Solid) sensor which is applied to the Arduino Nano Microcontroller. The process of making this tool is to connect the TDS sensor with several other components such as jumper cables, adapters, transistors, push buttons, and a 16x2 LCD as a data display from the test results. The purpose of making this tool is to determine the levels of metals in a liquid so that humans know which liquids are suitable for consumption and which are not suitable for consumption. The method used in testing the type of metal detector and its levels is the method of collecting data on three liquid samples. The results of testing and application of this tool obtained an average error of 11.96% when compared to standard measuring instruments with a difference of 11.7%. How to use this tool is to insert the TDS sensor into the liquid and let the sensor read the type of metal and also its level in the liquid and the results will be displayed on the LCD. The results of the tests carried out obtained the types of metals Fe, Ni, Hg, and Pb, and the data obtained were that these types of liquids were not suitable for consumption because they contained more than 1% metal content in each liquid. This study measures the conductivity of the liquid in order to obtain a feasible result that can be consumed by humans.
