Abstract
This research is titled "The Influence of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program of PERSERODA on Public Opinion in Batu IX Village, East Tanjung Pinang District, Tanjung Pinang City." The study is of a quantitative correlational nature with the aim of understanding the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility by PT. Pembangunan Kepri (PERSERODA) and assessing its impact on the public opinion of Batu IX Village residents in the East Tanjung Pinang District of Tanjung Pinang City. The theories utilized in this research include public communication, Public Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), opinion, and society. The population of this study consists of all residents of Batu IX Village, East Tanjung Pinang District, Tanjung Pinang City, totaling 14,074 people. The sample size is 100 individuals determined using the Taro Yamane formula. This research applies purposive sampling techniques, and data are collected through questionnaires and library research. Data analysis techniques include single-table analysis, cross-tabulation analysis, and hypothesis testing using the Spearman rank correlation coefficient. The research findings indicate a relationship between the influence of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program of PERSERODA and the public opinion of Batu IX Village residents. The hypothesis test reveals that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted with a correlation coefficient value of 0.911, indicating a very high relationship. Through the determinant correlation test, it is known that the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program of PERSERODA influences 83% of the opinion of Batu IX Village residents.
