Social assistance is a poverty alleviation program by providing assistance in the form of food, money, goods or services. Assistance is given with the aim of improving the welfare of the poor. The Covid-19 pandemic has also encouraged the government to provide assistance to the community. This is because the pandemic has many negative impacts, one of which is the increase in poverty due to unstable economic conditions. This final project aims to discuss whether there are differences in recipients of the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-cash Food Assistance (BPNT) in North Sumatra before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used is the Wilcoxon marked level test. From the results of hypothesis testing, it was concluded that there were differences between the recipients of social assistance, namely PKH and BPNT before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The existence of differences in the recipients of social assistance is indicated because the distribution of social assistance has not been effective until now.
