dc.description.abstract | Improvin the quality of government services by running an assistance program for victims of domestic violence is needed to provide benefits and solutions to the problems faced. Improving the quality of the assistance program is needed by victims in the form of the availability of facilities, human resources, and supporting resource such as the availability of psychological therapy, safe houses, spiritual guidance, and health services. Assistance is present as a public service related to someone who experiences domestic violence and is served in the form of assistances from reporting to the final stage of the victim’s needs. So the aim of this research is to describe in detail the Assistance PROGRAM STRATEGY FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AT THE FAMILY POPULATION CONTROL SERVICE PLANNING FOR WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT AND CHILD PROTECTION IN NORTH TAPANULI DISTRICT
The research conducted is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data sources used were primary and secondary data. The informants in this study were the head of the PPKBP3A office. The head of the Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Division, the head of PPPA Section, and victims of Domestic Violence (KDRT) in North Tapanuli Utara. Data Validity techniques. The data obtained was analized descriptively by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. The data obtained were then analyzed qualitatively with a theoretical approach accrding to Kotten (1996) with one indicator, namely Program Strategy with 3 variables including positive and negative impacts, advantags and disadvantages, and perceived impacts.
The results showed that the services of the assistance program have been running well where this assistance program provides benefits and a good impact on victims of domestic violence in North Tapanuli Utara who need mediation, not only for the community who are victims but also for the PPKBP3A office. In the implementation of the assistance program for victims of domestic violence, there are shortcomings where supporting human resources that are needed by victims are not available such as psychological therapy, safe houses, spiritual guidance, limited funding allocations, then there is a lack of human resources for socialization to the community in need. The perceived obstacle is that the victim’s courage to report is still lacking. In this case, improvements to improve these things need to be improved, so that the community as victims can receive a more beneficial impact. | en_US |
