    Abstract
    Heart rate is the frequency of a person's heartbeat in beats per minute (bpm). Normal heart rate varies from person to person, but the normal heart rate for adults ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute (bpm). In this study, dhikr is an activity car-ried out to determine the effect of dhikr on heart rate. Dhikr itself means mentioning, remembering and purifying Allah's name on various occasions. This research was conducted to design a Heart Rate Counter Detection Tool Against Dhikr Using Mo-bile-Based NodeMCU ESP8266. The purpose of this research is to find out how to make a heart rate counter for dhikr and understand the working principle of the pulse heart sensor which functions as a heart rate detector and the NodeMCU ESP8266 as a microcontroller which is the brain of this tool. Basically the pulse heart sensor works as a measure of heart rate parameters by emitting an LED light on the finger and then the reflected light is captured by the light sensor (photodiode) to get the reflected signal value. The signal generated by the sensor produces a wave called a photoplethysmogram (PPG) which is a relatively simple and easy optical method to non-invasively detect changes in blood volume of each heart beat in a network of blood vessels. The results of the measurements will be controlled via the NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller and will be displayed on a smartphone sent via a WI-FI/Hotspot network.
