Management Strategy for Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Bukit Sari Village Padang Tualang District Langkat District
Abstract
The Management Strategy of the Tunas Prima Jaya Village-Owned
Enterprise (BUMDes) in Bukit Sari Village is a form of service carried out in an
effort to improve community life, especially in the field of entrepreneurship.
Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) are established by the Village Government
in collaboration with the community. The management of this Village-Owned
Enterprise includes the community, which is desired to be able to work together to
improve the community's economy and improve the village economy. The
background of this research is that BUMDes are still not heading towards
business relations so that this makes losses for BUMDes Tunas Prima Jaya. The
purpose of this study was to determine the management strategy of Village-Owned
Enterprises in Bukit Sari Village.
The research method used in this research is descriptive research with a
qualitative approach. Data collection used with interview techniques,
observation, documentation and literature. Data analysis qualitatively using
management strategies from A.Naway (2016), which includes the planning stage,
organizing stage, implementation stage, evaluation stage.
The results of this study indicate that planning has not been realized
properly due to the lack of knowledge to plan BUMDes management, followed by
the limited budget available which is an inhibiting factor in managing business
units. Then in organizing already has resources and a clear division of tasks and
responsibilities, it's just that coordination still needs to be improved in the
management of BUMDes Tunas Prima Jaya. Furthermore, the implementation of
BUMDes Tunas Prima Jaya management is quite well realized but still has to
further improve transparency in the implementation of BUMDes Tunas Prima
Jaya management. In addition, the limited facilities and infrastructure available
at BUMDes Tunas Prima Jaya resulted in BUMDes management taking a long
time to process business unit activities. Finally, the evaluation still needs to be
improved where there is still a lack of accountability for activities in bookkeeping
records for each activity carried out when managing BUMDes Tunas Prima Jaya
and Human Resources (SDA) are still lacking. Thus, the various obstacles
described must be addressed to realize good BUMDes management and can
improve the economy of rural communities.
