The Digital Ruler is a useful tool for determining the user's distance to an object. The working principle of this Digital Ruler utilizes a laser beam emitted by this tool to an object along with an ultrasonic sensor. This study examines the potential and efficiency of using a programmed distance measuring instrument. In this final project, a laser rangefinder system has been built using Arduino to process measurement results with a programming language which is then displayed on the LCD as output. This tool is used by paying attention to and adjusting to the mini waterpass which is equipped on several sides as an effort to use the tool with the most stable position. In system design, the microcontroller used is Arduino UNO R3 Smd MEGA328P. This research was developed in several stages, namely literature study, analysis, design, implementation and testing. This system is focused on the pairing process between the laser module and the proximity sensor, so that the results read are more accurate for the distance measurement process. The test results show that the application of laser rangefinder technology can run well according to the program with an accuracy of 1.5 mm.
