    Abstract
    Water content measuring instruments are not widely known so that their use is still relatively lacking. The lack of utilization of the water content detection instrument has the potential to cause financial losses for coffee farmers when selling their harvested produce. The purpose of this study was to detect the moisture content of coffee beans by measuring the amount of resistance in the coffee beans. To apply this, the YL-69 sensor and Arduino Uno microcontroller were used as the main elements in the measurement system. The process is divided into two stages, namely the stage of hardware design and software design, the results of reading soil moisture sensor data, researchers use an LCD monitor as a display of test results. And each LED for each designation of water content is different. The results of the readings of the test equipment will be compared with the readings of a standard tool where the standard tool used is a grain moisture measuring instrument, meters). Based on the results of these measurements, the design of the water content measuring instrument using the Arduino-based YL-69 sensor can be used to detect the high and low water content in coffee grain.
