dc.description.abstract | Reducing the Infant Mortality Rate is an effort that aims to reduce the infant mortality rate at an early age. In Dairi Regency there is still a phenomenon of babies dying at birth due to slow handling by staff at the Sidikalang Regional General Hospital. This research aims to determine and explain the performance of Sidikalang Regional General Hospital employees in reducing infant mortality rates in Dairi Regency and explain what factors influence the performance of Sidikalang Regional General Hospital employees.
The method in this research is qualitative with data collection techniques carried out by interviews, observation and documentation. The research locations at the Sidikalang Regional General Hospital in this study were the Head of Administration, Head of the Ob-Gyn Clinic Room, Head of the Mawar Room and pregnant women patients or families of pregnant women. The theory used in this research is human resource management using employee performance indicators according to Mitchel (in Sedarmayanti, (2001:51) namely work quality, timeliness, initiative, ability, communication and validity techniques in this research source triangulation, technical triangulation , and time triangulation.
The results of this research show that Sidikalang Regional General Hospital employees have been able to reduce the infant mortality rate in Dairi Regency, however, employee initiative and employee communication must be further evaluated. Advice to the Sidikalang Regional General Hospital regarding employee performance in reducing the infant mortality rate in Dairi Regency is to carry out an evaluation of the employees at the hospital so that the services provided to patients or the community can improve and patients who receive health services at the Sidikalang Regional General Hospital were satisfied with the hospital's services. | en_US |
