dc.description.abstractThis study aims to discuss the communication analysis of the Tipang village tourism awareness group by prioritizing local wisdom in Humbang Hasundutan Regency and it is hoped that this research can still maintain and uphold local culture so that it has planning with characteristics by its authenticity. This study used a qualitative approach. This type of research aims to explain how the analysis of the role of tourism awareness group communication based on local wisdom in developing tourism destinations in Tipang Village, Baktiraja District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency. Organizational communication studies that examine the role of communication in developing tourism destinations. This study used an interactive model proposed by Miles & Huberman (2014). Interactive models are activities in an analysis that are carried out continuously until complete. Data collection techniques in this study are interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of this study 1) The role of the Tipang village pokdarwis communimation, has 3 types of roles Active role, Participatory role, and passive role. 2) The strategy of tourism awareness groups in the development of tourism destinations based on the local wisdom of Tipang Village implements an integration strategy by involving other tourism destination managers, also utilizing the dissemination of information through social media and print media that is disseminated in strategic areas or places. 3) The obstacles experienced by pokdarwis in the development of tourism destinations based on local wisdom in Tipang village are due to the lack of focus of pokdarwis by limited time due to their main work, lack of initiative of tourism-conscious groups in promoting Tipang villages such as social media management and print media, and still involving parents to join the pokdarwis so that they are less productive in the organization.en_US
