Forecasting of Labor Participation Rate and Factors That Influence in Binjai
Abstract
The labor force participation rate is one of the important indicators in economic activity, because this indicator can be a measure used to determine the level of availability of the workforce so that it has important meaning for development planning purposes, especially in the employment sector. This research aims to determine the factors that influence the level of labor force participation in Binjai in 2012-2021. The method used in this research is multiple linear analysis. The dependent variable in this research is the labor force participation rate , and the independent variables are the population, regional minimum wage, and gross regional domestic product. Based on the results of the analysis, the multiple regression model obtained is: : Y = 76,69163438 - 0,000142891666064 x1 - 0.000003593262018 x2 + 0.000000000004678 x3, and the Fcount value from the simultaneous test is 2, where the value is smaller than Ftable at the significance level is 5% , which means that there is no direct influence between the total population, regional minimum wage, and gross domestic product together on the level of labor force participation in Binjai in 2012-2021.
