Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) can be used as a basic material in the production of biogas. However, this waste has an acidic pH which leads to an unoptimal biogas output. The study was conducted with 4 treatments using cow dung as a starter and NaOH as a pH controller as many as 4 repetitions. The purpose of this study was to obtain the percentage decrease in organic matter, pressure, volume of biogas, as well as flame and flame durasion. The methods used in this study were single-stage anaerobic bioreactors and two-stage anaerobic bioreactors. The results showed the highest percentage of organic matter reduction was found in treatment B2V2 using a two-stage anaerobic bioreactor was 1.26%, biogas volume was 1900.38 ml, biogas pressure was 1.0151 bar, and the durasion of the flame was 68.50 seconds with blue flame.
