    Abstract
Soap is one product that is quite important in people's lives. The need for soap increases from year to year as in BPS data from 2016 to 2021. The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of transparent solid soap from Eucalyptus grandis leaves which is effective as an antibacterial agent for Staphylococcus aureus and determine the best formulation according to SNI 3532-2016. The method of making transparent solid soap from Eucalyptus grandis leaves is carried out by the hot process at a temperature of ±70°C. The feasibility analysis of soap includes several parameters such as free fatty acid/free alkali, ethanol insoluble material, water content, pH and foam stability which are adjusted to the quality standard of SNI 3532-2016. The best results from transparent solid soap from Eucalyptus grandis leaves were in formulation 3 with the addition of 3 ml Eucalyptus grandis oil with test values of 0.574%, 0.594%, 14.23%, 10.13%, and 72.9167%, respectively. with undetectable free alkali, and in accordance with the results of the hedonic test where formulation 3 received a panelist preference score on a scale of 4 for each assessor of aroma, color and softness of the foam. This does not apply to the antibacterial activity test that the diameter of the largest inhibition zone in formulation 5 was 32.6 mm against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria.
