dc.description.abstract | The Belawan Watershed (DAS) has an area of 8,694.82 Ha located in the upstream
part. In the central part of the Belawan River Basin Various anthropogenic
activities include sand dredging, agricultural activities, and bathing, washing,
latrines (MCK) where sand dredging activities are the most frequently carried out
activities on the Central Lau River.. In an effort to determine the diversity of fish
species, it can be assessed using abundance, diversity index, uniformity index and
dominance index. Then to analyze the relationship between diversity and waters in
the Belawan River, it is done using the XLSTAT application using Principal
Component Analysis. The method used in determining research stations was
purposive sampling. PHysical and chemical water parameters were also measured
in the form of temperature (°C), pH, DO, depth, brightness and current speed. The
results showed a structure of 12 species and 5 families with moderate diversity. The
correlation results show that the diversity of fish species in the Lau Belawan River
is positively correlated with pHysical parameters, namely depth, with a very strong
interpretation and chemical parameters, namely DO, with a very weak
interpretation. Then other parameters, namely temperature, pH, depth and
brightness, have a negative correlation with the diversity of fish species with
interpretation. very weak. | en_US |
