Effects of Educational Expenditure, Social Expenditure, and Health Expenditure on Human Development Index (HDI) of Biruen Regency
Abstract
This research aims to analyze the effects of education expenditure, social expenditure, and health expenditure on the Human Development Index (HDI) in Bireuen Regency and to analyze the effects of education expenditure, social expenditure, and health expenditure simultaneously on the HDI of Bireuen Regency.
This research uses a quantitative analysis method, with data sources in the regional budget reparts of revenues and expenditures of the Bireuen district government obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Biruen Regency from 2010 to 2019. The data analysis technique employed is the multiple linear regression analysis method and the classical assumption tests (normality test, heteroscedasticity test, multicollinearity test). The data are processed by SPSS 16. The research results find that the variable of education expenditure has significant and negative effect on HDI, while the social expenditure variable has no but positive effect on HDI, health expenditure variable has a significant and positive effect on HDI. Meanwhile, education, social, and health expenditure variables simultaneously have significant and positive effects on HDI.
