Hubungan Curah Hujan terhadap Produksi dan Pendapatan Petani serta Perbedaan Pendapatan Petani Ubi Kayu (Manihot esculenta) di Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Cassava is used as a carbohydrate source commodity besides rice and is cultivated on dry land. Cassava is also known as one of the commodities for which North Sumatra Province is one of the production centers. Rainfall has a relationship with cassava production because cassava plants need sufficient rainfall to grow. This research aims to see how changes in rainfall relate to cassava production and cassava farmers' income as well as differences in cassava farmers' income during normal and abnormal rainfall in North Sumatra Province. The method that researchers in this research used the independent sample t-test method to see the answer to objective 1, namely to see the difference in farmer income to rainfall. The results of this research show that there is no difference in the income of cassava farmers in North Sumatra Province each year when rainfall is normal or abnormal. And using Pearson Correlation Analysis to answer objective 2, namely the relationship between rainfall and production and income of cassava farmers in North Sumatra Province.
