Faktor-Faktor dan Strategi Pengembangan Produksi Ternak Kerbau di Kabupaten Aceh Barat

Abstract

This research analyzes what factors influence buffalo livestock productivity in West Aceh Regency. Analyzing what factors more dominantly influence buffalo livestock productivity in West Aceh Regency. Determining strategies for developing buffalo livestock in West Aceh Regency. This research was conducted in West Aceh Regency from April to August 2023 with a sample of 90 breeders spread across three sub-districts in West Aceh. The data analysis used is using multiple liner regression Coobdouglas analysis to look at the factors that influence productivity and the development strategy used is SWOT analysis. The results of multiple regression analysis show that the factors capital, labor, cage area, total feed, and drug costs have a significant effect on the productivity of buffalo in Aceh Barat. Based on the research results, it is known that the strategy for developing buffalo farming Aceh Barat Regency is the S-O Strategy, namely that the workforce that is still available in large quantities can be used to increase the livestock business because the more workers there are, the more buffalo can be taken care of, supported by easy livestock marketing and high selling price of meat. Utilizing the available capital and the more capital there is in raising buffalo, the more buffalo livestock can receive better treatment, especially as livestock marketing opportunities and meat selling prices in Aceh Barat are quite high.
