    Abstract
This thesis is based on the Party's background, in this case, especially in regional areas, the recruitment of female legislative candidates is a form of fulfilling the requirements determined in the elections. The party is not yet serious in realizing the struggle so that the party has female cadres who have political abilities. Until now, female legislative candidates in Indonesia have not been able to get the maximum number of votes in elections. This thesis aims to determine the process of determining female legislative candidates in the Nasdem party and the Medan City Democrat party in the 2024 elections. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, namely research that aims to present facts and events systematically and accurately and analyze their truth based on data obtained in the field. Data collection techniques in this research are interview techniques and library research. Based on the results of research and discussions, the Nasdem Party recruited female legislative candidates who from an early age participated in supporting Nasdem's election victory and were active in the party, as well as recruiting non-cadres, and implemented an active stelsel system, while the Democratic Party only recruited female legislative candidates who from an early age also supported the Democratic election victory and was active in the party. All female legislative candidates in the Democratic party come from party cadres, so it is not just random to recruit female legislative candidates who have never previously been active in party activities in the Democratic Party and implement a passive stelsel system.
