dc.description.abstract | The rate of development of built-up areas in urban areas results in an increase in land use change, one of which is the University of North Sumatra. The University of North Sumatra is a state university located in the city of Medan known as the "green campus". The impact of land conversion into built-up areas causes a reduction in the Green Open Space (GOS) area which has implications for reducing the comfort level of the University of North Sumatra campus. The purpose of this research is to create a spatial modeling map of the comfort level of the University of North Sumatra campus as a Green Open Space and to identify the potential of Green Open Space as a forest tour for health therapy (healing forest). Spatial modeling of comfort levels uses variables of slope, temperature, humidity, wind speed, noise, canopy cover, the number of negative ions in the air, and carbon dioxide. The value of each variable was then analyzed using the Inverse Distance Weighted method to obtain the distribution of values across locations. The results showed that with the type of land cover in the form of vegetation covering an area of 47.68 Ha; buildings covering an area of 53.02 Ha; and open land covering an area of 9.37 Ha, the comfort level of the University of North Sumatra campus is included in the "quite comfortable" category. Therefore, the Green Open Space on the campus of the University of North Sumatra, Padang Bulan can be used as a forest tourist spot for health therapy (healing forest) in accordance with standardization. | en_US |
