Management of Nursing Care for Clients with Hypercholesterolemia in Medan Helevetia
Abstract
Cholesterol is a fatty substance produced by the liver. If the cholesterol level in the blood is too high, it will further increase the risk factors for coronary artery disease. The aim of this senior practice is to provide care for the elderly with hypercholesterolemia using the hypercholesterolemia case method which was carried out for 3 weeks, with a total of 1 client aged 42 years, female. Loss care for clients with hypercholesterolemia establishes 2 problem solving priorities namely acute pain, and lack of knowledge. The implementation was carried out by carrying out several innovations, namely relaxation techniques, distraction techniques and warm water compresses and providing health education for 3 days, the patient's condition improved with the neck not feeling sore and heavy, reducing the pain scale in both legs, the client also understood cholesterol and the risks on him. The conclusion based on the results of the analysis is that the client already understands cholesterol and the risks that exist in him, so the client changes his behavior to adopt a healthy lifestyle such as consuming an appropriate diet, doing regular exercise and training himself to check total cholesterol levels regularly as a form of early prevention the occurrence of high levels of cholesterol in the blood.
