Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is a clinical syndrome (a set of signs and symptoms), characterized by shortness of breath and fatigue caused by structural abnormalities and heart function which can cause pain. Pain is a subjective symptom, only the client can define it. Pain acts as a warning that tissue is being damaged. The purpose of this case study is to describe the provision of nursing care to CHF patients ranging from assessment, nursing diagnoses, nursing planning, implementation and nursing evaluation. This final project report is made by collecting approach data based on interviews, observation, medical records and physical examination. Non-pharmacological therapy that can reduce or eliminate pain is Benson Therapy. Nursing care was provided for 1 week from 17 July 2023 to 22 July 2023 to 3 clients. The pain experience obtained is contained in five themes whose data has been processed, namely 1) the patient's feelings towards the pain felt; (2) pain management performed by the patient; (3) changes in patient activity; (4) emotional feelings experienced by patients; (5) application of Benson therapy in reducing pain. Results After nursing care for 3x24 hours in the client get no chest pain, no difficulty breathing, not experiencing shortness of breath, not coughing, comfort, not experiencing weakness during the move.
