The patient dependency level e-protocol is an electronic-based form used to assess the le vel
of patient dependency in hospitals. Patient dependence means the specific needs of each
patient and some time required by the patient. This e-protocol aims to make it easier for
nurses to assess patients and is expected to provide services to patients according to their
different need s according to the characteristics and level of patient dependence. This study
aims to determine the effectiveness of e-protocols on nurses' knowledge, attitudes, and
actions in assessing the level of patient dependence at RSU Martha Friska Multatuli. The
research method used pre-experimental design type one group pretest-posttest. The research
sample was 34 respondents of executive nurses as an intervention group selected based on
purposive sampling using power analysis. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire.
Data analysis using normality test, t-test and N-Gain test.The results showed that there were
differences in the mean knowledge, attitudes and actions of nurses after the intervention of
using e-protoco\s (p=0.000). In conclusion, it is known that e-protocols can improve nurses'
knowledge, attitudes and actions in assessing the level of patient dependence. This e-protocol
is recommended to be used as a tool to assess the level of patient dependence in hospitals.
