A Description of Slang Words in Song Lyrics By Katy Perry on One of The Boys Album

Abstract

This study discusses about the word formation of slang words used in katty perry “One of the boys” album. The objective of this study are identify the types of word formation process of the slang word used in Katy Perry on “One of the Boys” Album and describe the realization of the types of word formation process of the slang word used on Katy Perry on “One of the Boys” Album. This study uses qualitative method by listening the song, writing the lyrics categorizing the types of slangs language and concluding the data. This result of this study are slang words type found in katy perry “One of the boys” album song they are. Coinage, borrowing, compounding, clipping, conversion, acronym, derivation, and multiple process.
