The Effects of Leadershipstyle and Work Facilities on The Performance of The Staff at The DPRD Secretariat of North Sumatra
Abstract
Leadership style and facilities are among the main factors influencing employee
satisfaction in carrying out their duties. Poor leadership styles and inadequate
facilities typically have a significant impact on employee performance. This study
aims to determine the effects of leadership style and work facilities on the
performance of the staff at the DPRD Secretariat of North Sumatra Province. The
research utilized quantitative methods, collecting data through questionnaires
distributed to the staff of the Secretariat of the North Sumatra Provincial DPRD,
with a total of 29 respondents. The study results revealed an authoritarian
leadership style, where all decisions are made by the leader, significantly affecting
staff performance in terms of target achievement and work discipline. Meanwhile,
the available facilities are not easy to use, poorly organized, and have not been
able to optimize and expedite the work process, resulting in a slowdown in
performance results.
