| dc.description.abstract | Tea is an important and potential commodity for Indonesia. However, recently there have been problems in the Indonesian tea industry, the average volume of tea production, productivity and export volume of Indonesian tea production tends to decrease from year to year, but on the contrary, the tea industry in several other countries tends to increase. This research aims to determine and analyze comparative advantages and how high the Competitiveness of Indonesian Tea Exports is in five destination countries as well as what factors influence the volume of Indonesian tea exports.
This type of research uses quantitative descriptive analysis which uses RCA, RSCA and Multiple Linear Regression analysis using time series data. The tea commodity data used is tea with the 4 digit code 0902, with the period 2011-2020 to analyze competitiveness and 1991-2020 to analyze the factors that influence Indonesian tea exports in the five destination countries.
The results of this research show that the average Indonesian tea in the domestic market of the five destination countries has a comparative advantage or strong competitiveness. Furthermore, in this research it was found that the volume of Indonesian tea exports in five destination/importing countries (Malaysia, Russia, USA, China & Pakistan) was significantly influenced by the CPI of the Importing Country, the Real Exchange Rate of the Importing Country and Economic Distance. In this research, it was also found that there was no influence of Indonesian GDP, Indonesian CPI and CPI of Importing Countries on Tea Export Volume in the Five Destination Countries. | en_US |
