The increase in population per year of course requires a facility or means to accommodate the activities of the local community. Currently, several public facilities are available in the form of bus terminals, educational institutions (kindergarten to universities), hospitals. However, until now there are no public facilities that are able to accommodate social activities and qualified entertainment for the people of Langsa City. A community center is needed which is a place that can accommodate community activities in social, educational and even recreational aspects with a green architectural approach in order to maintain the green value of the city where Langsa City itself is still known for its green city. With this, a community center building is designed with a space program that can accommodate all facilities for local community activities through building and environmental design by maximizing renewable energy by applying green architectural principles in building design and the environment. The method applied in this study uses observation methods and qualitative methods. The result of this research is the design of the Community Center in Langsa City with a green architectural approach.en_US
