dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of financial literacy, compulsive buying, and income on debt behavior of Undergraduate Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of North Sumatera. The subjects of this study are active undergraduate students at the USU Faculty of Economics and Business, specifically the 2020, 2021 and 2022 standards. This type of research is associated with quantitative data. The study was conducted at the University of North Sumatra in Medan City from March 2023 to February 2024. The methods used to collect data in this study included questionnaires, interviews, and research at the table. The number of samples used is 528 students selected by random sampling method according to the Slovin formula. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. Research results show that partial financial literacy has a negative and significant impact on debt behavior, compulsive buying has a positive and significant impact on debt behavior, and income has a negative and significant impact on debt behavior among active strate students of Faculty of Economics and Business, University of North Sumatera.en_US
