Efektivitas Pemberian Ekstrak Metanol Daun Pegagan (Centella asiatica (L.) Urban) dengan Dosis 50 mg/Kg BB dan 100 mg/Kg BB Terhadap Ekspresi Bcl-2 pada Kejadian Displasia yang Diinduksi 7,12 Dimethylbenz [α] Anthracene (DMBA)

Precancerous lesions are the type of lesion that experience changes in the epithelial tissue which can evolve into a malignancy. Dysplasia is defined as ‘A precancerous lesion of stratified squamous epithelium characterized by cellular atypia and loss of normal maturation and stratification short of carcinoma in situ. Pegagan leaves (Centella asiatica (L.) Urban) is natural ingredient that can be used as a chemopreventive agent because it contain amino acids, phenol, triterpenoid, tannins and flavonoids. This study aims to discover the effectivity of methanol extract of pegagan leaves (Centella asiatica (L.) Urban) at doses of 50mg/KgBW and 100mg/KgBW on expression of Bcl-2 in the incidence of dysplasia induced by 7,12 dimethylbenz[α]anthracene (DMBA). Laboratory experimental were used in this research containing 30 wistar rats that are divided into 3 groups. Group 1 were given methanol extract of Pegagan leaves (Centella asiatica (L.) Urban) at doses of 50 mg/KgBW and induced by DMBA three times per week, group 2 were given DMBA three times per week, and group 3 were given methanol extract of Pegagan leaves (Centella asiatica (L.) Urban) at dose of 100 mg/kgBW and induced by DMBA three times per week. Immunoreactive score (IRS) used in this study. The data were then analyzed using the ANOVA test followed by the Post-hoc test. It can be concluded that there were no significant results of giving methanol extract of Pegagan leaves (Centella asiatica (L.) Urban) at doses of 50 mg/kgBW and 100 mg/kgBW on expression of Bcl-2.
