Pengaruh Bantuan Sosial Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) terhadap Tingkat Kesejahteraan Masyarakat Miskin Kelurahan Mangga, Kecamatan Medan Tuntungan, Kota Medan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of social assistance from the Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) on the welfare level of poor recipients of PKH in Mangga Sub-District, Medan Tuntungan District, Medan City. The research method used is a mixed method. Triangulation method is used in qualitative research to ensure data validity, and the Kendall's rank correlation analysis tool is used in quantitative research. The data used in this study are primary data sourced from interviews and questionnaires, as well as secondary data from Badan Pusat Statistik and Kantor Dinas Sosial of Medan City. The population used in this study is the recipients of PKH social assistance in Mangga Sub-District, Medan Tuntungan District, Medan City, who have received PKH for 2 years, totaling 115 PKH beneficiary households. Sampling was done using a probability sampling design with simple random sampling technique with a 10% error level, and the sample size was determined using the Slovin formula, resulting 53 respondents. The results show that the Implementation of the Program Keluarga Harapan is running well and in accordance with the program's objectives. Based on the indicators from the Badan Pusat Statistik, it was found that the Welfare Level of the Poor Community in Mangga Sub-District is at a moderate level. The analysis using Kendall's rank correlation test found significant results with a correlation value of 0.735 between PKH and the Welfare Level of the community, indicating a positive and strong influence of the Program Keluarga Harapan on the Welfare Level of the Poor Community in Mangga Sub-District, Medan Tuntungan District, Medan City.
