dc.description.abstractPT. Cahaya Alam Sejati is an industry that makes cardboard which has layout problems. Layout is an important factor that can influence the performance of a factory in order to improve and maximize the resources the factory has. In this case, the placement of departments and materials is very important because it will have a very significant impact on the performance of a factory. To solve the production floor layout problem at PT Cahaya Alam Sejati, this was done using two software, namely differential evolution and the Facility layout program which was used to find the best proposed layout. After improvements were made, 4 proposals were obtained using differential evolution software and using a facility layout program which found mileage, OMH and line efficiency rates that were better than the actual layout. The selection of the best proposed layout is alternative 1 software differential evolution with a line efficiency rate of 88.69% and an OMH of 1,134,861.336. and has a distance of 430.18 m and fairly good material flow with no recurrence of cross movement and bypassing in alternative layout 1en_US
