The addition of fillers from high calcium materials can improve the mechanical properties of composite resin materials. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the addition of 1% and 3% duck eggshell waste calcium carbonate on the tensile streng th of brackets with teeth with 2 different artificial saliva intervention times. Calcium carbonate was obtained from duck eggshell waste through maceration calcination process and particle size reduction with dry and wet ballmill (ethanol). The calcium car bonate treatment groups were mixed at 1% and 3% with enlight ortho solo brand composite resin. The brackets were bonded with the composite resin on the teeth that had been embedded in acrylic. A total of 24 samples were divided into 3 groups, namely the co ntrol group (without or with the addition of calcium carbonate concentrations of 1% and 3%) and the intervention group with artificial saliva for 1 day and 7 days. The intervention was performed at normal salivary pH and 37 o C in an incubator. The wire was fixed perpendicular to the force application in the tensile strength test in the universal testing machine. The tensile strength test of this study is the tensile force of the wire in a perpendicular direction on the bracket so that it is detached from the tooth. The results of Mann Whitney testing showed significant differences between the three treatment groups at each immersion time. The tensile strength between the three groups has a significant difference to the intervention of immersion time in each g roup characterized by a p value = 0.050. From the statistical test results, it can be stated that H0 is accepted because there is an increase in the effectiveness of the filling material with a concentration of 1% and 3% calcium carbonate from duck eggshel l waste on tensile strength.en_US
