| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: The predictor factor of MACE in patients with acute myocardial
infarction rated important to investigate because of high mortality in patients with
Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) despite having received treatment in hospital.
Objectives: This study aims to determine the factors that affect the Major Adverse
Cardiovascular Events (MACE) in patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction.
Methods : This study was an analytical study conducted by case control method.
A total of 116 subjects who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria were taken
from the medical records of Acute Myocardial Infarction patients who are
hospitalized in Haji Adam Malik Hospital on 1 January 2014-31 December 2015.
The data for age, sex, heart rate, systolic blood pressure, hemoglobin, leukocytes,
history of diabetes, smoking history, blood sodium and LDL were then compared
with MACE during treatment. Bivariate analysis done with chi-square test and
multivariate analyzes were performed with logistic regression backward wald
method.
Result:The bivariate analysis showed significant gains (p<0,05) in heart rate,
anemia , leukocytes, and systolic blood pressure. However, after multivariate
analysis, the variables with significant results are anemia and heart rate.
Conclusions: Factors influencing MACE in patients with AMI are anemia and
