Background: Lung cancer is the most common oncological disease accounting for more than 2 million cases and causing nearly 1.8 million deaths per year worldwide in 2020. In recent decades, the discovery of gene mutations in adenocarcinoma has led to great success in the development of methods for diagnosis and treatment. Lung adenocarcinoma gene mutations are closely related to clinical characteristics in patients with lung cancer. ROS-1 mutations are experienced by about 0.9-2.6% in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Objective: To determine the relationship between ROS-1 mutations and clinical characteristics in patients with Adenocarcinoma type NSCLC. Methods: The study in this study is a descriptive study to determine the characteristics of patients with Lung Adenocarcinoma who are examined for ROS-1 mutations. The number of samples examined was 90 samples from two hospitals in Medan City. Results: Males were the most patients suffering from lung cancer with 60 patients compared to female patients. Most cancer patients aged 41-60 years with a total of 50 patients (55.6%), and the largest tribe is the Batak tribe with a total of 57 patients (63.3%). The results showed that the most patients were patients with exsmoker status as many as 61 patients (67.8%). The level of malignancy of lung cancer in most patients is stage IVA as many as 74 patients (82.2%).en_US
