Validitas dan Reliabilitas Kuesioner 5 Major Temporomandibular Disorder Symptoms (5Ts) Versi Bahasa Indonesia Berbasis Digital

Abstract

Temporomandibular disorders encompass a group of disorders involving the masticatory muscles, temporomandibular joints, and structures associated with the stomatognathic system, thereby causing disturbances in the function of the masticatory system that affect overall performance. There are several methods for identifying temporomandibular joint disorders, one of which is through questionnaires. One questionnaire that can be utilized is the 5 Major Temporomandibular Disorder Symptoms questionnaire (5Ts). The purpose of this study is to ascertain the validity and reliability of the digital-based Indonesian version of the 5Ts questionnaire. Initially, an adaptation and translation process were conducted to obtain the Indonesian version of the 5Ts questionnaire, which consisted of forward translation, synthesis of translations, backward translation, expert committee review, and pre-testing and cognitive interviewing. The Indonesian version of the 5Ts questionnaire has been digitalized into a telemedicine website, with the aim of easy accessibility, time efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This study was conducted by providing a telemedicine website link to the 5Ts questionnaire to 330 active students of USU, excluding those from health-related faculties. Based on the results of the validity statistical test using the Corrected Item-Total Correlation method, the calculated r values for the five items of the 5Ts questionnaire ranged from 0,392 to 0,533, with a critical r value of 0,107. According to the decision-making criteria of Corrected Item Total Correlation, a calculated r value greater than the critical r value indicates validity. Therefore, it can be concluded that the 5Ts questionnaire is valid. The result of the reliability statistical test using the Cronbach's Alpha method yielded a coefficient reliability value of 0,711 for all five questions. In decision-making regarding reliability testing, if the Cronbach's alpha value exceeds 0,70, it is considered reliable. The Cronbach's alpha value falls within a range of categories, and with an obtained value of 0,711, it falls within the category of acceptable reliability. It can be concluded that the 5Ts questionnaire is a valid and reliable tool for evaluating temporomandibular joint disorder symptoms.
