Uji Disolusi dan Uji Keseragaman Bobot Ekstrak Propolis Geniotrigona thoracica sebagai Kandidat Pembuatan Chip Periodontal dalam Perawatan Penyakit Periodontal

Abstract

Periodontal chip is one of the supporting therapies for periodontal disease that has been proven to reduce periodontal pockets. Periodontal chips have shortcomings, so natural ingredients are used as alternative substitutes, one of which is Geniotrigona thoracica propolis extract. This periodontal chip of Geniotrigona thoracica propolis extract requires dissolution testing and weight uniformity as a basic test of the preparation. This study aims to determine the dissolution and weight uniformity of periodontal chip of Geniotrigona thoracica propolis extract. The type of research is laboratory experimental with the samples used are 4 groups with different concentrations for dissolution tests carried out with 3 repetitions and are 4 groups with different concentrations carried out with 6 repetitions for weight uniformity tests. The results showed that the dissolution of propolis chips was above 100% and the difference in concentration had an influence on weight uniformity. Chip with 10% concentration has the best weight uniformity.
