The data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. The results obtained from the study were that most students and alumni felt that the Chinese-Indonesian and Indonesian-Mandarin translation courses were helpful, but did not fully prepare them for the demands of the real world of work, such as the lack of hands-on practice and the lack of opportunities for practical training, such as internship opportunities or relevant field projects.
