dc.description.abstract | The polymer concrete manufacture and characterization has been carried out in this research by using sand aggregate, pumice, thorn pandan leaf fiber (Pandanus Tectorius) as filler and epoxy resin as adhesive by printing using hot press at a temperature of 90°C for 20 minutes. The characterization carried out was testing for density, porosity, water absorption, impact test, bending test, compression test as well as microstructure and chemical element tests of polymer concrete samples. The optimum composition results of its characterization shows that the addition of thorny pandan leaf fiber as filler is the density of sample B4 1,647 g/m3, the porosity of 0,80%, water absorption 0,486%, impact strength of 40,5 J/m2, bending-strength 26.692 MPa and compressive strength of 33.000 MPa. The results of microstructural testing show that all raw materials are evenly distributed and chemical element testing shows that the polymer concrete samples in this study are dominated by the element C (carbon). | en_US |
