    Abstract
    This research aims to determine the effect of the combination of paclobutrazol concentrasion and the composition of cocopeat planting media on the growth and production of sabrang onions throught morphological observation of sabrang onions plants. The research was carried out in September 2023 on Jalan Jamin Ginting Gg GR. Pinem, Medan, North Sumatera. This research used a factorial completely randomize design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The fisrt factor is the concentration of paclobutrazol wich consists or four levels, namely P0 (0ppm), P1 (30ppm), P2 (45ppm) and P3 (60ppm). The second factor is the composition of the cocopeat planting medium with a ratio of cocopeat : soil : sand consisting of four levels, namely M0 (0:2:2), M1 (3:2:2), M2 (5:2:2), and M3 (7:2:2). The combination of paclobutrazol and the composition of the cocopeat planting medium had no significant effect on all observed variables, namely plant height, number of shoots per hill, number of tubers per hill, wet weight of tubers, dry weight of tubers, wet weight of shoots and dry weight of shoots. The greatest plant height was obtained in the P3M3 treatment with an avarage of 40,20 cm. The highest number of shoots per clump was obtained in the P0M3 treatment with an avarage of 11 shoots/clump. The greatest wet weight of tubers was obtained in the P0M1 treatment with an avarage of 20,73 g. The greatest dry weight of tubers was obtained in the P0M1 treatment with an avarage of 14,98 g.
