dc.description.abstractAdolescent girls are a group that is very susceptible to anemia due to menstruation every month. In addition, factors that cause someone to experience it are lack of nutritional knowledge, lack of protein intake, iron intake, folic acid intake, menstruation, and purchasing power. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of nutritional knowledge, iron and folic acid intake with hemoglobin levels on adolescent girls at SMAN 3 Pematangsiantar. The number of research samples was 80 adolescent girls. Nutritional knowledge data was measured using a nutritional knowledge questionnaire, iron and folic acid intake was measured using a 24-hour food recall. Hemoglobin level data was measured using a hemoglobin measuring instrument, namely the easytouch GCHB. Data analysis was carried out using statistical tests using the Pearson product moment test. The results of this study indicate that most nutritional knowledge based on the category of most (52.5%) is in the nutritional knowledge category of less, iron intake is mostly (82.5%) in the category of less folic acid intake (97.5%) is in the category of less, hemoglobin levels are mostly (43.8%) in the category of hemoglobin levels below normal. From the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a relationship of nutritional knowledge (p-value 0.015), iron intake (p-value 0.001), folic acid (p-value 0.001) with hemoglobin levels on adolescent girls at SMAN 3 Pematangsiantar. It is expected that the school will cooperate with the local health office and health center to conduct health education to further increase knowledge and awareness on adolescent girls of the importance of food intake containing iron and folic acid so that low hemoglobin levels can be minimizeden_US
