Hubungan Beban Kerja Fisik dengan Kelelahan Kerja pada Pekerja Laundry di Kecamatan Medan Timur Kota Medan Tahun 2024
Relationship Between Physical Workload and Work Fatigue on Laundry Workers at Medan Timur Subdistrict Medan City in 2024
Abstract
Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is the most important thing in industry, because through Occupational Safety and Health (K3) workers feel safe and comfortable at work. One of the Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) problems that can trigger work accidents is fatigue. Work processes that involve high physical workloads can result in higher levels of fatigue in laundry workers. The physical workload found in laundry workers in Glugur Darat 1 Urban Village, East Medan Subdistrict, Medan City is a high work process that includes receiving dirty clothes from consumers, lifting clothes onto scales, transferring clothes into machines, transferring washed clothes into drying machines, folding clothes, and ironing processes that require repetitive hand and arm movements. The purpose of this study was to determine relationship between physical workload and workfatigue on laundry workers. This study is a quantitative study with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were 32 workers from 15 laundry. The sample in this study was the total population of 32 workers. Work fatigue was measured using a reaction timer (mPVT) and physical workload was measured using a fingertip pulse oximeter with the % Cardiovascular Load method. Data analysis used Pearson product moment test with an error rate of α
= 0.05. The results showed that light physical workload and those who experienced light fatigue were 2 people in Laundry (2), moderate physical workload there were 27 people who experienced light fatigue 8 people in Laundry (6,9, 11,15), moderate fatigue 10 people in Laundry (1,3,4,12), and heavy fatigue 9 people in laundry (5,7,10,14), rather heavy physical workload and those who experienced heavy fatigue there were 3 workers in Laundry (8,13). Based on the results of statistical tests between physical workload and work fatigue, it shows that there is a relationship with p value = 0.019 with the interpretation that the strength between variables is 41.1% with a positive relationship direction. For laundry workers (8,13) to add the number of workers.
