Hubungan Pengetahuan, Persepsi dan Motivasi Orang Tua Siswi Sekolah Dasar dengan Vaksinasi Hpv di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Pb Selayang II

Abstract

Indonesia is ranked second as the country with the most cervical cancer in the world. Therefore it is important to vaccinate against HPV, especially girls aged 9-13 years as the primary prevention of cervical cancer. This study aims to see the relationship between knowledge, perception and motivation of parents of elementary school students with HPV vaccination in the work area of PB Selayang II Health Center. This study used a cross-sectional research design. The population in this study was all parents of fifth grade elementary school students in Asam Beetle and PB Selayang II sub-districts. The research sample of 75 respondents was taken using Random Sampling. Knowledge, perception and motivation variables were measured using questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Most respondents have good knowledge at 61.3 percent but have a negative perception of 61.3 percent and have weak motivation of 54.7 percent, with the proportion of HPV vaccination measures that do not vaccinate against HPV at 60 percent. The results of the bivariate test using Chi-square found a relationship between knowledge (p = 0.026) and perception (p = 0.000) and motivation (p = 0.011) with HPV vaccination. It is recommended that parents want to seek information about HPV vaccination. It is expected that PB Selayang II Health Center will collaborate with schools to conduct socialization about HPV vaccination before the implementation of HPV vaccination in schools.
