dc.description.abstract | An organization certainly has its own goals that have been previously agreed upon. These goals become targets for measuring the desired performance achievements of each organization. The public organization is the Telagah Village Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) which has responsibility for developing tourism in Telagah Village. The aim of this research is to determine the performance of the Tourism Awareness Group in developing tourism in Telagah Village and to determine the performance inhibiting factors in improving organizational performance.
The research method used in the research is descriptive qualitative. This research uses performance indicators from Dwiyanto (2008:50), namely Productivity, Service Quality, Responsiveness, Responsibility and Accountability. This research also uses the theory of performance inhibiting factors from Mangkunegara (2005), namely Ability Factors and Motivational Factors.
The results of this research show that the performance of the Telagah Village Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) in developing tourism in Telagah Village is still very poor. This can be seen in terms of productivity, where their activities for attractions (cultural performances) do not have a big influence in developing tourism because human resources are low. The quality of service in terms of amenities or facilities and infrastructure is still very limited. Responsiveness is also not good because Pokdarwis cannot meet the needs of the community and visitors regarding accessibility. Responsibility also decreases the sense of responsibility and in terms of accountability there is no accountability towards related parties. The suggestions given are to improve guidance or training for Pokdarwis. | en_US |
