    Abstract
The use of computers is an inseparable part of completing work in the workplace. However, excessive use of computers will increase the risk of developing eye fatigue complaints. Eye fatigue is a strain on the eyes caused by impaired sense of vision in work that requires the ability to see for a long period of time which is usually accompanied by uncomfortable viewing conditions. According to the International Labor Organization (ILO) among the working-age population 143 million people experience eye complaints. This study aims to determine the factors related to eye fatigue complaints on computer user employees at the Medan Mayor's Office in 2024. This research is a quantitative study using a cross sectional approach. The population and sample in this study were all computer user employees of the Medan City Regional Finance and Assets Agency at the Medan Mayor's Office, totaling 58 people. Data collection was taken by interview using the VFI (Visual Fatigue Index) questionnaire which was then analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that 43 computer-using employees (74.1%) experienced eye fatigue complaints. Complaints of dry eyes were the most common complaints by computer user employees at the Medan Mayor's Office. Statistical test results show that there is a relationship between eye refractive errors (p value = 0.011), duration of computer use (p value = 0.005) and distance of computer use (p value = 0.016) with complaints of eye fatigue. Recommended for computer users to take an eye break for 20 seconds by looking at a 20 feet distance every 20 minutes of work, set the viewing distance between the eyes and the monitor at least 50 cm, agencies are expected to hold regular eye examination programs, and install antiradiation or antiglare protection on the monitor to reduce the impact of complaints of eye fatigue
