    Abstract
Basic sanitation facilities are the minimal facilities that must be available, including the provision of clean water, human waste disposal, wastewater drainage, and garbage disposal. Cleanliness is the state of being free from dirt, including dust, trash, and odors. Inadequate basic sanitation facilities and cleanliness in restaurants are among the factors contributing to the density of flies. This research aims to determine the relationship between basic sanitation facilities and cleanliness with fly density level. The research adopts a cross-sectional analytical research design. Data analysis is conducted univariately and bivariately using the chi-square test. The research sample includes all 31 restaurants. The results of the study show that the majority of restaurant managers are in the age range of 36-45 years, totaling 10 individuals (32.3%). Most restaurant managers are male, accounting for 20 individuals (64.5%). The majority of restaurant managers have a high school education, with 28 individuals (90.3%). The number of employees in restaurants mostly ranges from <5 individuals (77.4%), and the majority of restaurants operate for more than 8 hours per day, totaling 30 restaurants (96.8%). There is no correlation between the provision of clean water facilities and fly density level (p = 0.129). There is no correlation between human waste disposal facilities and fly density level (p = 1). There is a correlation between wastewater drainage facilities and fly density level (p = 0.043). There is no correlation between garbage disposal facilities and fly density level (p = 1). There is no correlation between cleanliness and fly density level (p = 0.269). Through this research, it is hoped that restaurant owners will pay more attention to basic sanitation facilities and the cleanliness of their establishments to prevent fly density, especially considering that some restaurants have a high level of fly density.
