    Abstract
Anemia is a condition where there is a decrease in hemoglobin levels compared to normal limits. Anemia often occurs in young women because they menstruate every month and they tend to want to maintain their appearance and body shape so they don't pay attention to the nutritional intake they consume. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between intake of iron, protein and vitamin C with hemoglobin levels of USU Faculty of Public Health students class of 2022. The research method used was analytical with a cross sectional approach. The sample in the study was 76 respondents using the simple random sampling method. Data on iron, protein and vitamin C intake were obtained by means of a 24-hour food recall which was carried out twice. Hemoglobin level data was obtained using the GCHb easy touch tool. Data analysis used the Chi- Square CI test: 90%. Research results mean iron intake: 12.52 mg ± 1.53, protein intake: 75.48 gr ± 24.54, vitamin C intake: 41.65 mg ± 53.49, hemoglobin level: 12.6 g /dl ± 1.7. The adequate level of iron consumption in the insufficient category is 86.8 percent and in the sufficient category is 13.2 percent. The level of protein adequacy in the insufficient category is 17.1 percent and the adequate category is 82.9 percent. The level of adequate consumption of vitamin C in the insufficient category is 88.2 percent and in the sufficient category is 11.8 percent. The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between iron intake and hemoglobin levels (p= 0.026). There is a relationship between protein intake and hemoglobin levels (p = 0.098). There is a relationship between vitamin C intake and hemoglobin levels (p = 0.050).
