The Relationship Between Workload and Job Fatigue on Employees of PT. Bank X at Medan in 2023
Abstract
Workload is a condition when a person is given a task or job that must be completed with the time given. Business in Indonesia is increasing, therefore everyone is trying to achieve targets, due to the high achievement of targets, triggering employees to work full time resulting in work-related fatigue. This study aims to determine of relationship between workload and job fatigue on employees of PT Bank X. The research method is quantitative. Data collection techniques with questionnaires. The research sample was 30 employees with permanent employee status. Variable workload and job fatigue. The data obtained then, analyzed using the Pearson Correlation test with the help of SPSS 24.0 for windows software. The results of the analysis showed a correlation coefficient value r of 0.264 with a significance level of 0.159 (p <0.05). These results indicate that there is a unidirectional relationship between workload and job fatigue in employees of PT Bank X at Medan. This proves that the higher the workload, the higher the work fatigue in employees. Conversely, the lower the workload, the lower the fatigue. Suggestions that can be conveyed to the company are better administrative arrangements and utilization of rest time that is actually fully used to rest.
