Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Produksi Ayam Broiler di Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

Broiler chicken farming offers promising opportunities for both large-scale and small-scale operations. However, the industry faces a significant challenge: breeders are highly susceptible to price fluctuations. When market prices drop, production costs do not adjust immediately, leading to decreased income or even losses for breeders, making the business inherently high-risk. Farmers need to comprehend various production factors or inputs to ensure effective and efficient chicken production. These factors can significantly impact the outcome of broiler chicken production. Understanding these factors is crucial for farmers to plan, process, and care for their chickens properly. This study aims to identify the key factors that influence the quantity of broiler chicken production. This study employed both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The cluster sampling technique was used to select the sample. The findings indicate that the quality of DOC seeds, feed, and capital significantly affects broiler chicken production, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.005. This suggests that improving the quality of these inputs can increase production. In contrast, the study found that drugs and vitamins do not have a significant impact on broiler chicken production, with a value of -2.373 < 1.73.
