Strategi Pusat Informasi Konseling Remaja (PIK-R) SMA Harapan Mandiri Medan Dalam Mensosialisasikan Bahaya Narkoba

Abstract

Teenagers are highly vulnerable to the 3 risks of TRIAD KRR (drugs, sexuality, AIDS). To solve this problem, the government as a central agency through the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) created a program platform managed from, by, and for adolescents called the Youth Counseling Information Center (PIK-R). Harapan Mandiri Medan High School implements PIK-R within the school to prevent adolescent delinquency, including the danger of drugs. The purpose of this study (1) To find out the PIK-R strategy in disseminating knowledge about the dangers of drugs and counseling services at Harapan Mandiri High School Medan (2) To find out the role of PIK-R managers in socializing understanding about the dangers of drugs among students at Harapan Mandiri High School Medan The method used in this research is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The technique for determining informants was purposive sampling technique. The informants in this study were the Leader of PIK-R, PIK-R coach, 5 members of the PIK-R board, 6 PIK-R service users, and the school headmaster. The theoretical basis used in this study is the Socialization theory by George Herbert Mead. The results of this study (1) The strategies implemented by PIK-R, namely routine socialization and education, routine Color Fun events, collaboration with relevant government agencies, anti-drug campaigns, and youth-friendly PIK-R, as well as patterns for preventing the dangers of drugs. PIK-R applies the Peer Control Group model. (2) The role played by PIK-R in disseminating knowledge is as Peer Educator, Peer Counselor, and Genre Ambassador
