Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Perilaku Sadari pada Wanita Usia Subur (WUS) di Dusun V Desa Hamparan Perak

Abstract

Breast cancer is the main health problem throughout the world, including Indonesia. It is a very malignant disease which can cause death in women. Decreasing its rate is done by doing SADAR/ (Breast Self-Examination) which can be done by every woman in order to find out the abnormal swelling (fibrocystic disease) in her breasts. The objective of this research is to explain some factors which influence SADAR/ behavior in WUS (productive-aged women) at Dusun V, Hamparan Perak Village. The research uses quantitative research method. The samples are 5I women, taken by using simple random sampling technique. The research is conducted at Dusun V, Hamparan Perak Village, Hamparan Perak Sub-district, Deli Serdang Regency. The result of the research shows that 26 respondents (51%) have good knowledge, 46 respondents (90.2%) have positive attitude, 41 respondents (80.4%) have high confidence, 43 respondents (84.3%) have positive perception, 51 respondents (100%) get good access, and 51 respondents (100%) get good support from the related health care providers concerning their breast self-examination. It is recommended that the productive-aged women be self-confident in doing breast se/f-.xamination in order to prevent them from breast cancer.
