Abstract

The tourism sector is one of the potentials that can improve the welfare of the community and the region. Tourism involves not only industrial aspects but also many aspects such as economic, social, cultural, religious, environmental and other aspects. Tourism plays a role in advancing community welfare through the creation of new jobs, the advancement of an area due to tourism development and infrastructure progress, introducing wider potential in an area and increasing income, especially community income. The purpose of this study is to find out how the contribution of GBKP Buluh Awar Spiritual tourism objects in improving the socio economic conditions of the people of Buluh Awar Village, Sibolangit District. This research uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. In data collection using direct observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are reduction, presentation of data and drawing conclusions. The results of the research obtained are GBKP Buluh Spiritual Tourism objects Awar makes a good contribution to the surrounding community that is directly involved in tourism activities as well as opening new jobs for the community and empowering people who have potential and helping to improve the socio economic conditions of the people involved.
